Ja-odori of Tsukiji-cho is presented in the divine parade on October 25 in the Kameoka Shrine Annual Festival held from October 24 through 27 every year. The annual festival is more popularly known to local residents as Hirado Kunchi. The urban district is packed in the atmosphere of the festival only. The origin is unclear but there is a legend that the festival was started in the Edo Period. However, according to reliable reports, Ja-odori was offered for the dedication of a new shrine of Kameoka Shrine in 1880, and has therefore been handed down for at least 100 years.
(Event-holding date: October 25 every year).
