The parishioners of three shrines in Yashio City hold events called "Yumi Buchi" around January 20 every year to wish for bountiful harvests for that year. "Yumi Buchi" are events in which people hit targets using arrows in the premises of each shrine in order to foretell the harvests and climate for that year according to the locations on targets hit by arrows. Although the "Yumi Buchi" events held in each of the three shrines are slightly different, they all preserve the traditional elements of toban watashi, utai, and shinsen. In recent years, the events have introduced creative ideas such as letting elementary school children hit the targets.
