Yamaoka Kabuki (traditional drama performed by male actors) is performed in Yamaoka-machi, Ena City, on the first Sunday every December. Under the guidance of Mr. Matsumoto Dansho, who is designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property by Gifu Prefecture, people of a wide range of ages, from school children to adults, are practicing and performing kabuki. It is seasoned by the laughter and tears unique to Ji-kabuki (folk kabuki). Why dont you come and see it?
